Outreach Volunteers

Young Musicians of Westchester (YMW) provides musicians who are embarking on professional careers with opportunities to perform at public concerts in their communities. Concerts are free and most take place in Southern Westchester.

YMW is seeking Outreach Volunteers to connect with organizations or community centers who might like their residents or members to attend one of these free concerts. Prospective organizations could include independent living facilities or senior day centers that are able to provide transportation for their groups to attend local events.

Outreach Volunteers will:

• Research and compile a list of possible organizations and the contact information for their activities coordinators
• Connect with these activities coordinators to introduce YMW and invite their residents or members to free concerts, provide programs and brochures, and share any other useful information

Commitment:

• 2-4 hours per week

Volunteer requirements:

• Must be 18+
• Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills
• Must attend concerts to welcome audience members, distribute programs and other literature, and collect audience members' email addresses
