Intergenerational Chess Pop-Up (Teens Only)
Teens are needed to participate in DOROT Westchester's Intergenerational Chess Pop-Up Event! This three-session special intergenerational event is based on DOROT's popular intergenerational chess program, which mixes chess instruction with opportunities for adults aged 60+ and high school teens to get to know one another.
All experience levels are welcome, including those new to the game! A Chess Master provides instruction and support and snacks are served.
Volunteers must attend all three sessions:
- Tuesday, May 12 from 4:30-6 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 19 from 4:30-6 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 26 from 4:30-6 p.m.
High schoolers between the ages of 13-18 are asked to complete both steps below to register, and they can receive community service credit for this project. Let's come together to engage in new relationships through a shared interest in chess!
