Career Counselors

Careers and stable employment are a critical part of long-term healing, independence, and safety after experiencing violence or trauma. My Sisters' Place aims to prepare survivors for the next part of their journeys by empowering them to rebuild their lives, regain control of their future, and support themselves and their families safely.

Volunteer Career Counselors are needed to share their professional background and skills with the clients and staff at My Sisters' Place. Activities may include:

  • Resume and Cover Letter Support
  • Mock Interviews
  • Goal Planning
  • Education and Training Guidance
  • Job Search Strategies
  • Workplace Readiness and Soft Skills

Since Volunteer Career Counselors will be interacting directly with My Sisters' Place clients, they will need to complete additional training before serving in this role. Express interest below to get started!
