42nd Annual Rockland Read-In
Spring Valley High School is looking for volunteers to read to students for 30-minute periods during the 42nd Annual Rockland Read-In on Friday, February 13. A teacher will supervise the class during the reading. Volunteers who are fluent in Spanish and other languages are especially encouraged to express interest!
Students benefit greatly from having members of the community set such a wonderful example for them. This is a perfect opportunity for college graduates and seniors to share their passion for reading with today's youth.
Volunteers are needed to read during the following class periods; volunteers should arrive 15 minutes prior to their period start time:
- Period 2: 7:42 a.m.-8:37 a.m.
- Period 3: 8:41 a.m.-9:36 a.m.
- Period 4: 9:40 a.m.-10:35 a.m.
- Period 6: 11:03 a.m.-11:58 a.m.
- Period 7: 12:02 p.m.-12:57 p.m.
- Period 8: 1:01 p.m.-1:56 p.m.
