Food Rescue Sorters

Rockland Community Against Hunger's Food Rescue/Food Recovery Program is a collaboration of nonprofit organizations: Together Our Unity Can Heal (TOUCH), Bridges, Meals on Wheels, and Catholic Charities. Its team of drivers rescues over a million pounds of food every year in Rockland County—unsold food that would have gone into landfills. Instead, this food is distributed to more than 40 partner food pantries and programs.

Volunteers are needed to sort and box up donations at various retailers on a weekly basis. Volunteers will be matched with the retailer according to the volunteers' availability, and training will be provided. This role requires light lifting and good communication and people skills. Express interest below!
