High School Student Chess Players (Teens Only)
DOROT's Intergenerational Chess Program is a welcoming and lively space where high school students and older adults can volunteer to spend time together, meet new people, and share the joy of chess. Whether they're a seasoned player or if this is their first time picking up a pawn, teens will find a supportive environment where everyone can grow. All experience levels are welcome and a chess master will provide support and instruction. High school students will receive community service hours.
This program takes place from 4:30-6 p.m. Volunteers must be able to commit to all eight sessions:
- October 22
- October 29
- November 5
- November 12
- November 19
- December 3
- December 10
- December 17
Registration for this project closes on Monday, October 20.
