Program Interns (College Students Only)
DOROT Westchester is a nonprofit social service organization that brings the generations together to create meaningful connections for older adults. It is seeking an Academic Intern to provide support for its programs, including Friendly Visiting, Package Delivery, Intergenerational Chess, Cardmaking, and Birthday Revelers.
Tasks include:
- Data entry: entering feedback forms, creating new constituent profiles, updating program participations, and collecting data by running reports in Salesforce database
- Phone calls: confirming program participations and conducting phone surveys
- Responding to emails: providing program reminders, requesting additional information from constituents, and sending program invitations
- Miscellaneous office tasks: assembling printed materials, helping with setup for in-person programming, and participating in 1:1 weekly supervision meetings
Requirements and time commitment:
- In-person or hybrid volunteers preferred
- Internships run from September-December and January-May
- 8-10 hours per week (flexible), with at least 3 hours on Wednesdays in-office
- Orientation required (accommodations can be made for those that cannot attend)
- Access to car required (for home visits)
- Personal laptop computer required (used for both in-person and remote days)
