Farmers Market Volunteers

Greenburgh Farmers Market is seeking volunteers to help with its market on alternating Saturdays.

Volunteer activities include:

  • Setting up and breaking down tents
  • Displaying produce on tables
  • Ensuring the street is closed off for visitors
  • Preparing tokens for distribution
  • Welcoming and assisting vendors
  • Overseeing tents and distributing items

Volunteers should:

  • Be able to lift 10-50 pounds
  • Be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
  • Wear clothes that are weather-appropriate, comfortable, and can get dirty; the Farmers Market is held rain or shine
  • Bring their own lunch and water

Groups and teens 15+ (with an adult) are welcome! Chairs and free parking are provided; volunteers may use Porta-Potties at the park up the street or the bathrooms at the community center two blocks away. Sign up for one or more shifts below!


A program of Dare To Be Different Westchester, the Greenburgh Farmers Market addresses local food insecurity and helps bridge the lack of access to community resources in Greenburgh.
