Program Support Volunteer
Latino U College Access (LUCA) empowers first-generation students on their journeys to and through college so they can fulfill their remarkable potential. It is seeking a Programs Volunteer to support its program needs 2-3 days (about 10-12 hours) per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays (or a combination of these days).
Key responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Programs Director and team
- Research and contact locations, such as libraries and colleges, to secure event space
- Send calendar invites
- Coordinate meetings, including technology and logistics
- Enter data and maintain the database
- Update presentation materials and distribute to the team
- Assist with the set-up of programs/events hosted at LUCA offices or externally
- Create and update presentation materials
- Support with ad-hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Outstanding computer skills, including Microsoft and Google
- Willingness to learn Salesforce database input and how to run reports
- Knowledge and experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work on-site 1 to 3 days a week for a total of 10 to 12 hours a week
- Organized and adept at handling details
- Enjoy working with people
- Creative and strategic ideas are welcome
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
