Program Support Volunteer

Latino U College Access (LUCA) empowers first-generation students on their journeys to and through college so they can fulfill their remarkable potential. It is seeking a Programs Volunteer to support its program needs 2-3 days (about 10-12 hours) per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays (or a combination of these days).

Key responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Programs Director and team
• Research and contact locations, such as libraries and colleges, to secure event space
• Send calendar invites
• Coordinate meetings, including technology and logistics
• Enter data and maintain the database
• Update presentation materials and distribute to the team
• Assist with the set-up of programs/events hosted at LUCA offices or externally
• Create and update presentation materials
• Support with ad-hoc projects

Qualifications:

• Outstanding computer skills, including Microsoft and Google
• Willingness to learn Salesforce database input and how to run reports
• Knowledge and experience with Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work on-site 1 to 3 days a week for a total of 10 to 12 hours a week
• Organized and adept at handling details
• Enjoy working with people
• Creative and strategic ideas are welcome
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Agile
