Web Developer and Designer
Groundwork Hudson Valley is a community-based organization that transforms urban neighborhoods through partnerships that inspire young leaders and support local economic development. It is seeking a volunteer web developer/designer to help create a visually engaging and user-friendly annual report webpage. This short-term project will take place in April and involves designing and developing a responsive webpage that effectively presents key data, stories, and achievements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a compelling annual report webpage
- Ensure a responsive and accessible user experience
- Integrate multimedia elements (graphics, charts, videos, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Groundwork Hudson Valley team to align the design with its branding
- Optimize for performance and usability
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (or relevant web frameworks)
- Experience with UI/UX design and accessibility best practices
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress or similar) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
