Bedding Team Leaders

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads, yet across the United States, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors, which can affect their happiness and health. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering top-notch bunk beds to these children and families in need.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace's Westchester Chapter is seeking a Bedding Team Lead to help further its mission by securing and organizing in-kind donations of bedding to be delivered with beds.

Bedding Team Lead requirements:

• Identify and equip bedding drop off locations
• Maintain bedding inventory on the Chapter Portal
• Maintain accurate counts of bedding donations so they can be entered into the DonorPerfect software
• Work with Social Media Manager to communicate bedding needs to the community
• Organize bedding drives at churches, businesses, schools, etc.
• Assist in packing bedding needed for Delivery teams
• Believe in the mission that "No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!"

Bedding Team Lead skillsets:

• Effectively communicate the organization's story and how the community can get involved by providing bedding
• Ability to navigate the DonorPerfect software to track in-kind donations
• Strong cooperation with Chapter President, colleagues, volunteers, donors and corporate sponsors
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a work from home/remote environment
• Time management, organizational, interpersonal communication and follow-through skills
