Volunteer Coordinator

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads, yet across the United States, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors, which can affect their happiness and health. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering top-notch bunk beds to these children and families in need.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace's Westchester Chapter is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to help further its mission by recruiting and communicating with volunteers (using email, text, and phone calls), coordinating assignments, and creating volunteer events.

Volunteer Coordinator requirements:

• Communicate regularly with Core Team members and fellow volunteers
• Recruit new volunteers and potential new Core Team members
• Create volunteer events (Golden platform)
• Coordinate volunteer tasks
• Staff the check-in table at build day events
• Ensure volunteers complete required paperwork
• Recognize and appreciate volunteers
• Believe in the mission that "No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!"
