2025 Head Start Center Set-Up Volunteers

Family Services of Westchester's New Rochelle Head Start Center is seeking support with setting up its newest head start program. Volunteers are needed throughout the week, and two shifts are available each day.

Volunteers will assist with classroom set-up (including moving furniture) as well as with posting required early childhood program documents (e.g., CACFP menu, Emergency Plans, Program Hours of Operation, etc.) around the center. Head Start staff will offer instruction.

Founded in 1954, Family Services of Westchester (FSW) is a private, nonprofit, non-sectarian social services agency that provides mental health and social services to strengthen and support families, children, and individuals at every stage of their lives. FSW's Head Start/Early Head Start is a federal government program that was created in 1965 to give preschool children from low-income families a "head start" on their readiness for elementary school.
