2024 High School Advocacy Program
Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic is seeking young people ages 15-18 to join its High School Advocacy Program where they will learn to advocate for themselves and their communities. The group meets virtually once a week from February 6 to March 26; all meetings are held on Thursdays from 5-6:30 p.m.
Teens in this High School Advocacy Program learn about Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, how to lobby their elected officials, how to take action in their communities, and more. At the end of the program, teen participants will work with their teammates to plan a community action or training.
Upon completion of the program, teens receive a letter of recommendation from Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic staff and verification of community service.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 15+, Minimum Age:15+, Maximum Age:18
