Music Program Volunteers

Songcatchers is looking for volunteers to help greet and check-in students, organize snacks, and file choral music folders for its music program.

This is an in-person opportunity and volunteers can choose their own schedule based on their availability. The music program runs Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Express interest below!

Songcatchers' After-School Music Program offers lessons on musical instruments to children ages 7-13, many of whom cannot afford private lessons. The children are taught by high school, college, and community volunteers. The volunteers themselves are mentored by a professional musician and music educator who serves as a resource and a guide in their teaching. Training includes an informal interview, orientation sessions, and ongoing meetings and training throughout the year.
