Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley's 17th Annual Walk For Wishes is just around the corner, and it needs volunteers' help to spread the word in local communities throughout Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam Counties. Held on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at FDR Park in Yorktown Heights, Walk For Wishes is a family-friendly event powered by wish families, volunteers, companies, donors, and friends alike.
Walk for Wishes is a vital fundraising event organized by the Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley Chapter that plays a significant role in its mission to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. It is currently working on the wishes of more than 200 kids in the Hudson Valley. By participating in or supporting the event, volunteers are helping to bring hope, strength, and joy to these children and their families during challenging times when they need it most.
Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley is seeking volunteers to join its Street Team and distribute fliers around the community, including local businesses, schools, community centers, and other public spaces, to promote the 2023 Walk For Wishes event. This is a great opportunity for community service hours!
Make-A-Wish® Hudson Valley will provide volunteers with printed fliers and postcards, along with instructions for distribution. Fliers can be distributed according to volunteers' schedules by October 7.
