Planting at the Teatown Wild Flower Woods to Support Migratory Birds & Wildlife
Help to restore farm fields to open meadows that support migratory birds and other wildlife. Invasive plants will be removed by hand and with small hand tools. New plantings of small shrubs and grasses will be installed. Work site is adjacent to parking and building with restrooms and water. This site is one mile from the Teatown Nature Center. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember. * This is a family-friendly project for children 14 and over with an adult. Hat and sun protection suggested. Teatown will provide tools, supplies and safety equipment.
