2023 World Breastfeeding Week Activity Volunteers
Breastfeeding improves the health, survival, and well-being of babies and mothers. Open Door WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) offers breastfeeding education and support to women in our community. Help celebrate World Breastfeeding Week by entertaining older kids while their mothers participate in workshops. Activities will include leading art and craft projects for kids, assisting with event set-up and breakdown, and other tasks as needed.
Volunteers are needed in Brewster, Mount Kisco, Ossining, and Sleepy Hollow on specific dates and times throughout the week. Express interest in one or more dates below!
- Tuesday, August 1 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.: Brewster
- Wednesday, August 2 from 8-11 a.m.: Mount Kisco
- Thursday, August 3 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Ossining
- Friday, August 4 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.: Sleepy Hollow
Age Minimum (with Adult): 14+, Minimum Age:16+
