Volunteer Event Greeters and Door Holders
Nonprofit Westchester is looking for a Volunteer Event Greeter to assist with its upcoming breakfast and networking event, "A Case for Inclusion: Leveraging the Talent of People with Disabilities in the Workplace." The event will feature presentations and a roundtable discussion centered on how businesses can successfully hire and retain employees with disabilities, why workplace inclusion matters, and what resources businesses can utilize to support the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace.
Volunteer requirements:
- Be vaccinated for COVID-19
- Be friendly and welcoming while greeting guests upon arrival
- Be able to hold open a (somewhat) heavy door for all guests, especially those using wheelchairs
- Provide clear, verbal directions to the elevator to access the event space (4th floor), and guide them toward the elevator if needed
- Wear business-casual attire
- Bilingual skills not required, but appreciated!
The volunteer will be provided opportunities for refreshments and breaks as needed. Volunteers interested in this opportunity must express their interest by Wednesday, March 8. Express interest below!
