211 Call Center Information Specialists (Remote)
United Way of Westchester and Putnam is looking for Volunteer Information Specialists for its 211 call center! United Way's 211 serves as a confidential, comprehensive, and primary entry point into community service information, referral, and assistance. This 211 call center is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
The Volunteer Tax Information Specialists help answer incoming tax-related calls from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The minimum time commitment includes 2 hours of training, and then 10-15 hours per week to assist callers from mid-January to mid-April.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and make phone calls based on the project at hand
- Gather information accurately on caller contacts
- Bilingual individuals are strongly encouraged to apply!
