Afghan Women's Circle Mentors
Volunteer Mentors are needed to assist with the Afghan Women's Circle, which is designed to help provide guidance to newly settled Afghan women and their families. Volunteer Mentors will provide guidance and tips on driving, healthcare, parenting, how to get a job, and more to help their new neighbors get acclimated in their new communities. Volunteers can assist during the sessions as co-leaders or provide childcare while the parents are participating in the sessions.
Requirements:
- Volunteers must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Volunteers must be able to commit to a period of 6 months, with one meeting per week (typically on Sundays from 12:30-2 p.m.) either on Zoom, in-person, or hybrid
- There will be one monthly meeting for mentors to communicate with each other and a small report to fill out for the heads of this program so they can keep up with each mentee's progress
