2022 Summer Greenternship - Peekskill
Westchester Parks Foundation is offering a hands-on, eight-day educational internship for high school and college students. Summer Greenternship participants will learn about the effects of the invasive water chestnut and help remove it from the lakes in two Westchester County Parks. Greenterns will also raise awareness of invasive species by leading community volunteer days. Greenterns help promote a healthy ecosystem in the lake while also enhancing recreational opportunities for Westchester community members.
Interns can choose to participate in the early July session at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, the late July session at Blue Mountain Reservation in Peekskill, or both sessions totaling 16 days.
