2022 Bicycle Camp Volunteers

Interested in volunteering, getting great exercise, and having fun this summer? iCan Bike is looking for volunteers who would like to help campers with disabilities learn how to ride a bike. Under the guidance of professional trainers, volunteers help spot the campers on specialized training bikes and then facilitate their transition to conventional two-wheel bikes by the week's end. Helping people learn a skill that most of us take for granted is truly rewarding—and a lot of fun, too!

Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. Time commitment is flexible, and volunteering can be for just one session (approximately 90 minutes) per day up to all five sessions (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.).

The camp takes place at the EJ Murray Skating Center in Yonkers (near Ridge Hill Mall) from July 11 to July 15. Sessions are held at 8:30 a.m., 10:05 a.m., 11:40 a.m., 2 p.m., and 3:35 p.m.
