Service Dog Drivers

Putnam Service Dogs aims to train dogs into excellent service partners for people with disabilities and special health needs. Occasionally, it needs a pup to be picked up and delivered to a potential recipient or volunteer puppy raiser. (It may also need assistance transporting a recipient or volunteer.) It is currently seeking Volunteer Drivers—ideally located in Putnam, Westchester, or the Danbury area—to help with these transportation tasks. Volunteer Drivers will be reimbursed $0.70 per mile (until gas prices come down) for any driving tasks. This role is estimated to take no more than five hours per month, and volunteers will be contacted when they are needed.

Volunteers must be 25+ and have a safe driving record and a vehicle that can ferry dogs and people easily. Express interest below!
