Adelante Juntos (Parent-Child Together) Volunteers - Mount Kisco

Neighbors Link is looking for volunteers for its Adelante Juntos (Parent-Child Together) program in Mount Kisco. The Adelante Juntos program is a great opportunity for adult volunteers who are available during the daytime and love working with young children. Volunteers assist the instructor with guided activities for children ages 0-4, while their parents attend Neighbors Link parenting and child development classes. Volunteers have fun singing, dancing and reading with the children, as well as helping them learn pre-school basics like letters, numbers, colors, and overall language acquisition. There are morning sessions from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. as well as afternoon sessions from 1-3 p.m. No prior experience necessary! Volunteers are welcome to come observe the program and learn more about it. Express interest below!

Neighbors Link aims to strengthen the whole community through the healthy integration of immigrants. This mission is achieved by filling a service gap for new immigrant families, offering education and empowerment programs, involving longer-term residents in volunteer opportunities, and creating substantive partnerships with other local organizations. Its strategies to educate, empower, and employ families include a Worker Center, English as a Second Language (ESL) education, legal services and advocacy, workforce development, parent education, early childhood programs, and academic support for school-age children of immigrants.
