2022 Cookbook Editors
Solar cookstoves aim to replace environmentally destructive wood- and charcoal-burning stoves that pollute the environment and lead to deforestation. They are especially crucial in developing countries like Haiti. (Learn more about how solar cookers work here.)
The Public-Private Alliance Foundation (PPAF) is creating a cookbook for individuals who use solar cookers in Haiti, and it needs a Volunteer Cookbook Editor to help edit the text in English, as well as test and refine the recipes and select the best photographs and information. Both English and Haitian Creole/French cookbooks will be created, so while knowing Haitian Creole and French is useful, it is not necessary.
