Toys for Tots Holiday Weekend Event
Thomas Paine Cottage is looking for volunteers for its annual Toys for Tots event from December 3-5. Volunteers can assist with the following tasks:
- Arts & Crafts Table: help with children's activities such as building non-food gingerbread houses, painting holiday ornaments, coloring, creating ornaments, wishing tree, and more.
- Educational Table: help educate kids and families on the different holidays celebrated in the community using word searches, puzzles, and dreidels.
- S'mores Stations: several fire pits will be available for the wintery fun of building S'mores!
- Food Table: hand out hot chocolate, hot apple cider (wassail), and Krispy Kreme donuts.
- Storytime: tell stories in a candlelit schoolhouse (Christmas on Friday, Kwanzaa on Saturday, and Hanukkah on Sunday) and help the storyteller with seating children.
