Office Assistant Volunteer

The Center for Safety & Change is seeking volunteers to assist office staff by answering phones and providing clerical support during day or evening hours. Express interest below for more information!

Responsibilities include:

  • Answer phones/hotlines and direct calls
  • Greet visitors
  • Photocopy
  • Filing
  • Scan documents
  • Prepare mailings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable using (or willing to learn) phone systems
  • Computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and willing to work on a variety of tasks
  • Willing to work in an environment where clients may be in distress
  • Required to sign confidentiality agreement
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Available shifts:

  • Monday-Friday: mornings (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) or afternoons (1-5 p.m.)
  • Monday-Thursday: evenings (5-9 p.m.)
