Opportunity Details

2022 Researchers and Writers

College Money Matters, a nationwide nonprofit created in Westchester County, aims to ensure that all students and their families have the information they need to make good decisions about applying, choosing, and paying for college, even in the absence of mentors or advisors. Its website and YouTube channel reach 1,000 people a month, but to solve the problem of college debt, it needs to reach more!

College Money Matters is looking for Volunteer Researchers to help with a variety of projects, including:

  • Help identify organizations and local nonprofits who work with high school students and their parents and who might be suitable partners for College Money Matters to work with
  • Help identify potential sponsors, such as financial companies selling 529 savings accounts
  • Help research information and create articles for the website, such as co-signing on a college loan

Volunteers would be provided with a number of sources to start with, and no cold calling or fundraising is required. This is a remote opportunity that can be completed from home. Community service credit hours can be provided! Express interest below!
