2021 Commercial Drivers
United Way of Westchester and Putnam is looking for volunteers with a Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL) to volunteer at least once or twice a year to destinations in Westchester and Putnam Counties. Volunteers would drive their commercial vehicles to pick up and transport essential items for the organization's community initiatives, including pallets and boxes of donated home goods, bedding, and other items.
Trucks of at least 10 feet and with liftgates are preferred. Drivers will not need to undergo COVID or background checks; however, they must have valid license, insurance, and registration. If you are experieincing symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive, please stay home and recover before expressing interest in this opportunity!
This is a great opportunity for individuals, corporate groups, local businesses, and other community groups who want to do some good in their communities.
