Volunteers to Set Up Winter Warming Center

Catholic Charities Community Services of Rockland operates an emergency warming center from November through April to provide local homeless individuals with a safe space to get out of the cold and receive food and supportive services.

To prepare the warming center, volunteers are needed to assemble coat racks and cots. Volunteers will also hang clear vinyl curtains from the coat racks to provide warming center guests with an extra level of protection from the spread of germs. This is a great opportunity for groups of older students, employees, or families to volunteer together!

Volunteers must be able to lift 10-12 pounds. They will be provided with face masks and gloves and they must maintain social distancing wherever possible.
