2020 Fall Cleanup Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help rake leaves at the historic cemetery grounds of St. Paul's Church in anticipation of its Veterans Day Commemoration. Soldiers from every war in American history—from colonial times through the Korean War—are buried at St. Paul's, which is one of the oldest continuously used burial yards in the country. Veterans Day commemorations, which include guided tours and placing of wreaths, draw large crowds and volunteers will help keep the area tidy! Volunteers can select from the available shifts below.

Important notes and requirements:

  • No more than five volunteers are permitted per shift
  • Volunteers must wear face masks, closed-toe shoes, and clothing that can get dirty
  • Volunteers must bring their own work gloves and practice social distancing
  • Rakes will be provided and disinfected between AM and PM shifts
  • Volunteers will not be permitted access to historic buildings due to COVID-19 protocols. For restrooms, please use the public facilities at nearby restaurants
