2020 Outdoor Shorts Film Festival

The GARNER Arts Center is seeking volunteers with its fourth annual Outdoor Shorts Film Festival at the GARNER Historic District. A series of curated independent short films will be presented for two evenings with live music and food and beverage on site. This is a limited-capacity, physically distanced in-person gathering outdoors with a mask requirement for all attendees. The rain date is Saturday, August 22.

This is a fun opportunity for volunteers to take part in a unique Hudson Valley summer film event! GARNER Arts Center is looking for helping hands; please "express interest" below to sign up for the following positions:

• Parking Attendants: direct visitors to event parking and guide prepaid "Car Spot" guests.
• Bar Volunteers: sell wine and beer cans in event area. Volunteers use a "touchless" payment system and will keep a written purchase log. These volunteers must be 21+ years old.
• Runner(s): help guide visitors to the front lot and seating area, hold the line at check-in to avoid crowding, and monitor trash bins to empty during the event, if needed.
• Set Up/Break Down Volunteers: put out garbage receptacles, mark seat area and "Car Spots" according to distanced floor plan, post mask requirement signs, set up hand sanitizing stations, and set up check-in and bar stations. At break down, these volunteers ensure that all GARNER Arts Center equipment is returned to its staging area.
