2020 Census Helpers
The Westchester Library System and Volunteer New York! need volunteers to help people complete the Census form in hard-to-count communities. Volunteers will be trained and armed with a tablet to assist people in filling out the Census and/or giving them information so they can complete it on their own. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed.
How it works:
Volunteers will be in teams of three (you can recruit friends) and each member of the team will have a different location to cover. Volunteers will speak with people at farmers' markets, food pantries, and parks. The tablet will be wiped down and passed to the next volunteer for their assignment. It's important for everyone in our community to be counted.
