Become a Caregiver Coach
The Livable Communities program of Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services is looking for volunteers who are optimistic, empathetic, and non-judgmental to become Caregiver Coaches. Coaches enable caregivers to make more informed decisions to meet the many challenges and responsibilities they face. Coaches work with—not for—the caregivers. Most contact will take place via phone.
Interested volunteers will go through a 12-hour training with professionals and will be expected to attend monthly Caregiver Coach conversations to discuss specific issues, ideas, and concerns. Volunteers must make a one-year commitment. The Livable Communities Caregivers Coaching (L3C) program is spearheaded by the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services. It is part of the department’s Livable Communities: A Vision for All Ages.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
