Haverstraw Food Cupboard Volunteers
The Haverstraw Food Cupboard needs volunteers to help with its food pantry! Volunteers may greet clients as they enter the pantry, help pack and carry bags, sort and report donations, restock shelves, count inventory, connect clients to helpful information and local resources, and more. All volunteers will be trained, and they are expected to maintain and protect client and family confidentiality according to HIPAA mandates.
Volunteers should be able to work both independently and as a team player; they should have compassion for those struggling to get their basic needs met as well as have communication skills to work effectively with clients, volunteers, and the community at large.
