2019-2020 Bridging Generations to Help Seniors
One Change at a Time is looking for volunteers for its “Bridging Generations” program, which aims to promote intergenerational relationships by bringing together the elderly and youth through therapeutic recreation, education, and social activities.
“Bridging Generations” takes place at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and community centers and helps to improve the health and social wellness of seniors, while developing skills, establishing values, and providing a sense of empowerment. These interactions help all generations by providing mentorship opportunities, stimulating the mind through educational activities, and improving health by being actively involved.
