2018-2019 Board Members
Desired Attributes of a SHORE Board Member:
1.) Become knowledgeable about SHORE: mission, founding, homes, and typical rent.
2.) Develop empathy for Homeless Families: participate in the choosing of new tenants (become familiar with the background of existing tenants).
3.) Become a proactive SHORE Board Member: keep abreast of Board discussions, via regular meeting attendance, activiely participate in fundraising and (organized) activities, contribute ideas and energy towards making SHORE more viable, financially and operationally.
4.) Publicize SHORE's mission and needs: only SHORE provides PERMANENT homeless housing, there are critical homeless housing needs in Westchester County, and continual financial support is needed for apartment maintenance and administrative support involved in caring for 23 families and their needs.
