2018 Meal Delivery in Yorktown

We are a non-profit called Community Cares.  We bring meals to families where the parent is undergoing a major health crisis like cancer treatments, and have school-aged children to care for.  We also provide a cleaning service and laundry wash and fold services.  It's difficult to keep up with daily activities while you are healthy, just imagine juggling everything while battling a sickness. 

Here's the bottom line - we are seeking caring volunteers to help pick-up and deliver meals to these families.  Currently, we are serving the Yorktown area.  Food deliveries are made between 5:00 and 5:30pm weekdays only.  All information about clients is considered confidential, and you will need to sign a confidentiality statement.  You would stop in the restaurant making the donation, fill out a donation receipt for the restaurant, get a receipt with the dollar amount, and bring the food to the family.  All receipts can be mailed-in or dropped off.
