High School Internship - Farm Volunteer
Our internships are a working/ learning experience that provide students with the opportunity to work alongside our farmers throughout all aspects of plant propagation, cultivation, harvest of numerous varieties of organically grown vegetable crops. Working on the farm is a rewarding experience but may be physically demanding at times. Work on the farm takes place in all kinds of weather so we ask that our interns dress and plan accordingly.
Working on a farm requires the desire to contribute daily in a rigorous, fast paced agricultural setting. Interns are asked to take part in some or all of the necessary fieldwork including seeding, transplanting, weeding, thinning, watering, harvesting, pest control as well as washing, sorting and packaging our vegetables for market.
If you are interested in Food Justice, Environmental or Agricultural studies this unpaid internship is for you. Please fill out and submit a form on our website, and don't forget to also "express interest" below. We work with our High School students to schedule their internships according to their schools' attendance and program guidelines. High school students who are local to the farm as well as those from down or up county are encouraged to submit an application to participate. Spots are limited so please submit early.
