Help Protect the Environment and Beautify Rockland
Help protect the environment and beautify Rockland by cleaning up the Spring Valley area! For two hours on the morning of September 11th we will be removing litter along W. Eckerson & Viola Road from Route 45 to Union Road. Participants will be enhancing the local environment while learning about litter prevention, recycling and waste reduction. In Spring Valley, meet in the parking lot at the corner of North Main Street (Route 45) and W. Eckerson Road in Spring Valley. Park in the parking lot at the corner of North Main Street (Route 45) and W. Eckerson Road in Spring Valley. It is a good idea to exercise caution against ticks - wearing long pants and/or long sleeves can help prevent lyme disease as well as allergic reactions to plants, such as poison ivy. This is a family friendly event. If you are interested in signing up as a family, please choose Sign up as a team. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old to participate in this event. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember.
