Spending Time & Reminiscing with Adults
Many of the clients at My Second Home have memory issues. Volunteers will be reading out loud with seniors while encouraging the exchange of memories. Volunteers are encouraged to bring photos of the 40's and 50's or photos of hustorical events to discuss with the seniors. This project is a part of 9/11: Serve + Remember. About My Second Home: My Second Home is a program of Family Services of Westchester. It has an intergenerational day program as well as provides specialized care/activities for individuals with physical impairment, memory impairment, mobility challenges, and special diets. My Second Home provides medication supervision, caregiver support, eldercare information and referral, meal provisions and transportation. #911Day16
