Walk & Serve in Honor of MLK

Volunteers of all ages are invited to help make a difference on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The day will kick off with sign-making and a walk around the school to honor MLK's legacy. Pre-selected students will then give brief speeches reflecting on MLK's values. Afterwards, help fight food insecurity in our community by assembling snack packs for kids at Lifting Up Westchester, writing kind cards for older adults at Meals on Wheels of Scarsdale, or sorting and packing food donations for the Thomas H. Slater Center. All items will be donated to local community organizations.

All volunteers are asked to bring at least one of the following items for donation:

  • Canned tuna (preferably in water)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Cereal
  • ​Oatmeal

Families, Homeless, Low-Income Communities, People with Disabilities, People with Health-Based Concerns, Seniors
Collecting, Sorting & Packaging,Arts, Crafts & Letter-Making,Donations & Drives
