2026 9/11 Day Kits for Kids
Volunteers are needed to assist The Blue Resource Table with assembling and delivering kits and school supplies for Peekskill scholars between the ages of 5-18.
On September 9, volunteers will assemble kits packed with goodies, hygiene supplies, and school supplies. The volunteer group with the largest turnout will win the "We Remember by Serving: Rolling for Community" Award, courtesy of The Blue Resource Table and local community sponsors. This award includes a free bowling party, free shoe rental, and food for the winning volunteer group.
On September 11, volunteers will begin with a moment of silence and unity prayer led by Reverend Dr. James Perry, Senior Pastor of Mount Olivet Baptist Church. Then, volunteers will help deliver the finished kits to where they are needed throughout Peekskill. Volunteers will travel by bus provided by The Blue Resource Table. Please note that the September 11 delivery shift does not count towards the contest.
