2026 Summer Reading Buddies - Yonkers
Become a Summer Reading Buddy and make a positive impact in a child's reading journey over the summer months! Summer Reading Buddies are matched one-on-one or in small groups with children in grades 1-5. Using books and worksheets, each Summer Reading Buddy works with the children to practice their reading skills or complete a related activity.
This project runs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12-2:30 p.m. from July 7 to August 12; Summer Reading Buddies can commit to a single day or all six weeks.
