Garden Squad
Volunteers will work alongside gardeners at Lasdon Park to keep the gardens looking beautiful.
Volunteer tasks may include:
- Planting, weeding, pruning, staking, deadheading, potting, mulching
- Removing invasive species
- Trail maintenance
- Picking up litter.
Volunteers may be asked to:
- Kneel, bend, and use a shovel
- Push and pull wagons of tools or plant matter
- Lift and carry tools and pots
Volunteers should wear clothing that can get dirty and is appropriate for weather (closed-toe footwear, long pants, hat, rain gear). Gloves and tools will be provided, but volunteers should bring their own snacks, lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, and insect repellant.
This is a great opportunity to learn about gardening and preserving green spaces while having fun with family, friends, and coworkers.
