Meal Pickup Delivery Drivers
5 Steps to Five is seeking reliable volunteers to help with its weekly food delivery program. Volunteer drivers are needed to pick up breakfast trays from Meals on Main Street in Port Chester on Thursdays at 9:45 a.m. and drive the food to the Community Resource Center in Mamaroneck by 10:15 a.m. At drop-off, the program facilitator will meet the volunteer at their car and take the food—no need to park or carry items inside. The food delivery consists of a few trays that can fit easily in a standard-sized car and serves about 10 mothers and their children.
Volunteer requirements:
- Must be available on Thursday mornings. Travel to destination is 15 minutes, but volunteers are provided 30-45 minutes in case of traffic or other driving factors
- Must have own car, be reliable, and demonstrate strong communication skills
