2025 Summer Reading and Math Volunteers
STEM Alliance is seeking volunteers for its Co-Op Summer Enrichment Program's Reading Nook and Math Cave. This program provides five weeks of academic and recreational experiences for nearly 300 underserved elementary students in the Mamaroneck School District through hands-on STEM activities, outdoor exploration and recreation, fields trips, and academic skill-building.
The Reading Nook and Math Cave programs take place daily and provide a fun and engaging opportunity for students to build essential literacy and math skills guided by volunteers and educators. Volunteers will be grouped with up to four students in grades 1-4 and participate in reading or math activities. Educators and program staff will be on hand to provide support during the activities.
