Bilingual Technology Tutors - Mount Kisco

Neighbors Link is introducing a Technology Tutoring (drop-in) program and it's looking for volunteers to help its clients with their tech questions. Volunteers can be in high school, college, or they can be adults and they should be at least somewhat proficient in Spanish. Complete fluency is not necessary and there will be a bilingual staff member present to assist. Those who can speak and understand Spanish "pretty well" are encouraged to express interest!

Volunteers should also have an understanding of basic technology and be able to help clients with topics such as how to use email, sign up for an email account, download apps on the phone, resetting passwords, fill out online job applications, etc.

The program will take place in Neighbors Link's Mount Kisco center on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. A short orientation is available for all new volunteers. Express interest below!

Neighbors Link aims to strengthen the whole community through the healthy integration of immigrants. This mission is achieved by filling a service gap for new immigrant families, offering education and empowerment programs, involving longer-term residents in volunteer opportunities, and creating substantive partnerships with other local organizations. Its strategies to educate, empower, and employ families include a Worker Center, English as a Second Language (ESL) education, legal services and advocacy, workforce development, parent education, early childhood programs, and academic support for school-age children of immigrants.
