2021 Adopt an Emergency Shelter Family for the Holidays

My Sisters' Place assists survivors of domestic violence with family and immigration legal services, counseling services, and emergency shelter. A number of families in its emergency shelter are displaced after fleeing their homes to seek safety from an abusive partner. In addition to being affected financially by the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be the first time many of these families spend the holidays alone.

Volunteers are asked to "adopt" a family to help bring some much-needed holiday cheer this season. Once volunteers are matched with an anonymous family, they will receive the survivor's story as well as their holiday wish list. Volunteers will purchase gifts on the family's wish list and deliver them to the My Sister's Place office. The gifts will then be delivered to their adopted family!

Express interest below (or express interest as a team if volunteering as a family or group) to receive more information.
